CMC Networks Bolsters SD-WAN With Enea NFV Access
- 27 September 2019
“We are excited to bring our new solution to market since SD-WAN is important to make carrier and enterprise customer networks reliable in a region where network access is often inconsistent,” said Marisa Trisolino, CEO of CMC Networks, in a statement.
At the core of the partnership is Enea’s NFV Access virtualization and management platform, which it claims will allow carriers and service providers the flexibility to deploy their own virtual network functions (VNF) on CMC Network’s second-generation SD-WAN.
Enea’s NFV Access platform and universal consumer premises equipment (uCPE) manager also integrates directly with CMC’s customer portal and orchestrator to provide end-to-end management, automation, and zero-touch provisioning, according to the vendor.
“We are very proud that CMC Networks, the largest communications service provider in the Middle East and Africa, choose Enea as their uCPE software platform,” said Adrian Leufvén, senior VP of Enea’s OS business unit at Enea.
Adrian Leufvén, senior VP of Enea’s OS business unit, explained that many African and Middle Eastern enterprises are building out their WANs for the first time so they face fewer challenges and are quicker to adopt new SD-WAN technology.
